Witter/Leal Wedding

Adrian, Hilary, and DJ JoCo

Adrian, Hilary, and DJ JoCo

From Hilary’s Parents:

Just wanted to say a BIG thank you for the wonderful entertainment last weekend!!  The dance floor was hopping all night long!!!!  Hilary and Adrian had a great time!  We really enjoyed working with you and will definitely recommend Master DJ to others.
Thanks again,
Joe and Lori Witter

Adrian and Hillary were a delight to work with. We had three slow songs the whole night and that was their first dance, Hilary’s dance with her father, and Adrian’s dance with his mother. Mr. Witter reached out to me on Wednesday before the wedding and asked if he could show a music video for the Father/Daughter dance. I, of course, said yes. It was a very touching moment the way he worked the speech he gave before the dance and the video. The rest of the night was high energy music with a lot.. A LOT of Pitbull!
Here is to a lifetime of happiness!

Why We Hate the “Chicken Dance”

If you’ve ever been to a wedding reception, a party, or basically any event with a DJ you know about the unfortunate cycle that inevitably pops up. If you stay around long enough, you will start to feel as though you are having de ja vu. Don’t worry, though, it isn’t your mind playing tricks on you- it’s just the terrible disk jockey that was hired playing the same tired songs over and over again. Just like a song on the radio gets overplayed to the point where a previously enjoyable tune becomes an absolute nightmare, a bad DJ working your wedding reception can manage to annoy your guests away.

No one should ever be duped into paying for a terrible DJ. Unfortunately, when it comes time to hire a disk jockey most people tend forget the old saying about getting what you pay for. They try to take the cheap way out and then they’re surprised when the DJ shows up with terrible equipment, tiny speakers that are nearly blown out, and a stack of “greatest hit” CDs to get everyone through the gathering. That’s just a recipe for a terrible time; this is when it reaches the point that the DJ is actually taking away from the atmosphere instead of contributing in a positive manner.

The way to get around this is to make sure that you hire a good DJ that is going to work with you on the song selection and play songs that you want to hear. This is your wedding reception after all, if you want a great selection of wedding songs you should be able to get that. If you want something else entirely, you should be able to get that as well. Generally, you are the one hiring the DJ and paying for their time, they should be playing whatever it is that you want to hear. A good DJ can help keep your reception from sliding down into the “boring” territory and lulling your guests to sleep.

This is exactly the reason that you should hire us. Yes, we’re just a bit more expensive than some of our competitors, but we use only top of the line sound equipment and our DJs work with you to figure out exactly what it is that you want. The disk jockey is not just going to turn up ten minutes before the reception is supposed to start and start playing the current Top 40 hits or wedding songs of yesteryear. You’re going to have the opportunity to work with the DJ and establish exactly what it is that you want. We’ve been serving the quad cities, Illinois, and Iowa for quite a while to a great degree of satisfaction- give us a try, you won’t regret it.

Keep it Moving: The Key to a Fun Wedding Reception

Everyone has had the misfortune to go to a wedding reception where you just want to leave within the first half hour. Typically there is nothing going on at these events- people are sitting around with bored expressions on their face half listening to the DJ playing boring music in the background. In other words, there’s a complete lack of activity and it’s just really boring to sit there doing nothing- you don’t want to bore your guests. Even worse, this is your special day, you don’t want to bore yourself or your significant other, either!

While doing your wedding planning, you’re probably going to consider a DJ. You just absolutely have to make sure that you are getting a quality DJ. If you live around the quad cities, you really need to check us out. We’ve been serving Illinois and Iowa with great disk jockey services for a long while, and while we’re one of the more expensive providers around, you have to understand that you get what you pay for. We have great equipment, great DJs, and can generally make sure that you and your guests have a great time at your wedding reception by keeping everyone excited and keeping the action up.

You might think that all DJs are the same- that you’re just going to be paying someone to come in, set up, and commence to playing tired songs from yesteryear that no one wants to hear. This is only true if you try to get out of paying for a quality DJ. A good DJ isn’t just going to get up there and play music, he’s going to lead your wedding reception like the pied piper. Your DJ can lead the wedding reception on a time table that you all figure out and approve, and suddenly instead of a tired traditional reception, you have a party to celebrate your special day.

You only have one chance to make the reception as amazing as you want it to be. You don’t want to look back and remember that your reception was easily the most boring part of the day. You can utilize a quality DJ to take the reception to the next level and make sure that both you and your guests have a really great time. Why would you let your reception slide down into the doldrums? You know what it will take to keep your guests entertained, you just have to step up and really make it happen.

How to Make Your Wedding Grand Entrance GRAND

When you’re sitting down to try and put together your wedding you have all sorts of options. One of those options is going to be a disk jockey to bring some entertainment into your special day. A good DJ can really breathe life into what might otherwise be a stale event. Your entrance is your one opportunity to really make your wedding unique. There’s a lot to be said for tradition, yes, but if you’re looking for something that will make your day truly memorable, this is a great place to start.

You’re not going to be paying for some random person to show up an hour before the wedding, set up, and play generic, cheesy wedding songs. No, this will be a DJ that works with you and puts hours of time and sweat into figuring out the perfect music for your entrance. You only get one chance for your entrance; this is a once in a lifetime event- if you want to make your wedding special, something that really makes you and your special someone happy for years to come, then you have to let loose and try to make your wedding what you really want it to be.

The effect that the DJ has on your wedding day doesn’t have to end there; if you choose, the DJ can make the reception just as amazing as the entrance. Your reception is a celebration of the vows you just took- why not do everything in your power to make it the incredible day that it should be? You can enhance what might otherwise be a drab affair by injecting a dose of your favorite music right into the atmosphere. You only have one chance to make this once in a lifetime day everything that it could be- it’s up to you to utilize this opportunity to really get a message across about just how joyous an occasion this is.

We provide excellent DJ services to the quad cities area as well as throughout Illinois and Iowa. We are proud to boast that we offer some of the absolute best services available in this area or any other; if you want a DJ that is going to work as hard as you are to make your wedding entrance special, our services are superb. You have control over how spectacular your wedding entrance ultimately is- a specialty entrance designed with a quality DJ with amazing equipment can easily take a good entrance and make it a grand one.

Why do some DJs cost more than others?

If you’ve been looking for a disk jockey for your wedding reception, or any other event, then there’s little doubt that you’ve discovered the huge gulf between various prices. It’s blaringly obvious that some DJs are just much more expensive than others, and you might think that you’re being cheated if you pay for one of the more expensive ones over their cheaper counterparts. You probably assume that there might be some difference in quality of services provided, but you may not believe it will be that much. Well, this is, unfortunately, just not true. The simple fact of the matter is that you get what you pay for.

Think of it like this. If you’ve ever looked at audio equipment, specifically that which a DJ would use at a wedding reception, then there’s no doubt that you know that this equipment can really start to get expensive. It isn’t that the more expensive DJ is charging you more just because they can, it’s that the equipment they will be using is greater and the price of the equipment they will be using is higher. In other words, if you don’t want your wedding reception DJ to play your music through a tin speaker, you’re probably going to have to pay a bit more.

Another thing that you’re paying for is the quality of the DJ, the person themselves. A good DJ isn’t just going to show up with a generic playlist and let the music play on and on. You could do that yourself. A good DJ is going to spend a lot of time in the weeks before the wedding reception trying to find just the perfect music to play for your wedding. So, again, you’re paying for quality, not just a random price hike.

We provide Illinois, Iowa, and the quad cities with superior disk jockey services, and the simple fact of the matter is that we are one of the more expensive providers out there. What this means for you is that you are investing in a DJ that is going to put time and energy into making your wedding reception special. On top of that, they’re going to have great sound equipment; no one is going to be standing around at your reception straining their ears to try and hear the music. You’re going to be getting clear, strong sound that will make your special day even more memorable. If you’re going to bother having a DJ in the first place, you might as well go with the best. It’s a bit pricey, but it’s even pricier to waste money on a bad show.
