We have a new owner!

First off, thank you. Thank you for your support of Master Entertainment. We have truly built something special over the last 21 years. We have had some major milestones and we have just hit another one. Recently, the entire company was purchased by a long time friend and colleague of mine, Kevin Walker.

As many of you already know, my role in company operations has been extremely limited. I started the company at the age of 14 and have built it into something larger than myself. For the past two to three years I have been actively running a marketing and sales consulting business. I have been traveling the country speaking at conventions and running workshops for small business owners. I have made the decision to make the consulting practice my sole focus.

Effective now, Kevin owns 100% of the company. He will be actively managing the company as well as working events. For the past three months we have been working on transition behind the scenes as my number one concern is that our current customers are taken care of. My secondary concern is that the company lives on and thrives beyond me. I believe Kevin is the man to make this happen.

A little more about Kevin….
Kevin Walker has spent over half of his life in the Quad Cities and wouldn’t want to live anywhere else. He’s lives in Bettendorf with his wife Katie and daughters Kaitlyn and Kamdyn.

Kevin has spent 20 plus years on Quad City radio stations including All Hit 98.9, B100, 97X, 104.9 the Hawk and Q 106.5 in addition to operating Kevin Walker Photography for the last 20 years with studios in Rock Island and Davenport.

He’s also provided professional entertainment to high schools, wedding and corporate clients for over 25 years. He brings a vast amount of experience and talent to the company that will ensure great customer experiences going forward.

“Purchasing Master Entertainment and QC Photo Booth was the perfect opportunity to expand my ability to serve the Quad Cities market with professional entertainment and great customer service.” At this point Kevin plans to incorporate photography and video services in addition to the services Master Entertainment already provides.

This is a very exciting time as we continue this new chapter in the evolution of Master Entertainment and again are thankful for your continued support. We are nothing without our customers and have had too many great customers to count over the past 21 years. While the names and faces of operations on the company have changed several times over the years, our primary focus continues to be on quality services with attention to detail.

Best wishes.

Wedding Entertainment

A wedding is one of the most special days in a person’s life and a day of celebration shared with family and friends. The wedding entertainment you choose helps to create and maintain the air of celebration, turning the day into a really memorable event. Entertainment at a wedding has many practical uses as well, such as adding structure to the day and breaking the ice between guests.

There are quite a few options for entertainment at a wedding. Many people first think of a live band. Live bands provide music and entertainment and are very popular at weddings. Lately, we’ve been seeing more and more comedians, mentalists, and magicians at weddings. These types of entertainment get the guests at your wedding to participate and adds an extra “wow” factor.

The entertainment we see most often is the DJ. DJs play a vital role at weddings. From before the reception even begins, your DJ is behind the scenes preparing a timeline for the whole night. There’s nothing worse than running out of time for special dances, favorite songs, or speeches. You should be able to count on your DJ to get out on the floor and keep the guests happy all while ensuring all the special moments you want happen on time and aren’t rushed. This is especially important as most photographers don’t stay all night. Your DJ will make sure all the important events of the night happen before the photographer leaves so you can be confident that all special moments were captured on film.
